Expressions of Interest Open for ECCAG: Join EMC’s Creative Communities Advisory Group

Expressions of Interest are now open for the EMC Creative Communities Advisory Group (ECCAG)! We’re seeking passionate, culture-driven individuals of all ages from across the dance music scene in Australia and the APAC region to help shape the future of electronic music culture. This advisory group will be instrumental in guiding EMC’s initiatives, programs, and events, aligning them with our commitment to authenticity, inclusivity, and social responsibility.

Why Join ECCAG?

ECCAG provides a unique opportunity for community-minded creatives and advocates to contribute directly to EMC’s evolution. Members will bring their expertise and perspectives to help EMC:


1. Enhance Representation in Programming
ECCAG members will champion inclusivity across EMC’s programming, ensuring that diverse voices—especially those from underrepresented groups such as First Nations communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and young people—are spotlighted in our initiatives, storytelling, talent line-ups and events.


2. Drive Innovative Community Engagement Initiatives
The advisory group will play a key role in designing community-focused programs that expand accessibility and outreach. By supporting initiatives like collaborative workshops and mentorship programs, ECCAG will help create new opportunities for individuals and collectives from priority groups..


3. Co-Design EMC’s Flagship Event
ECCAG’s insights will be essential in co-designing EMC’s flagship event, ensuring that it resonates with diverse creative communities. Together, we’ll create a flagship event experience that is relevant, impactful and reflective of the cultural richness of the electronic music scene..

4. Promote Meaningful International and Community Exchange
ECCAG will shape events that celebrate cultural diversity and promote collaboration. ECCAG will contribute to bringing together local and international artists, fostering cross-cultural connections and offering networking and creative exchange opportunities for a global community.

5. Support Sustainable, Inclusive Program Development
EMC is committed to sustainable, community-oriented program development. ECCAG’s contribution will guide our approach, creating a solid framework that prioritises inclusivity, diversity, and community connection.

6. Elevate EMC’s Reputation in the Creative Industries
Through ECCAG’s engagement, EMC will strengthen its role as a leader in culturally responsive programming, positioning us as a key player in both the Australian and global creative industries.

Remuneration Details

ECCAG members will be compensated for their time with a set fee and will need to commit to four meetings scheduled between January and June 2025. Each meeting will last up to 2 hours, with payment made following each meeting.
